Income Tax Self-Assesment from 2025

Self-Employed? Get Ready for Quarterly ITSA Submissions in 2025

From April 2025, HMRC is introducing new rules for self-employed individuals with an income over £50,000 and April 2026 for income over £30,000. If this applies to you, you’ll need to submit quarterly updates of your income and expenses through recognised accounting software as part of the new Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self Assessment (MTD for ITSA) initiative.

If that sounds daunting—don’t worry. I’m here to help.

What I Offer:

✅ Software Setup I’ll get you up and running with HMRC-recognised accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, or another platform that suits your needs. ✅ Personalised Training Not a numbers person? That’s okay. I offer clear, practical training so you feel confident using your new software. No jargon—just straightforward advice.

Why It Matters: This change is part of HMRC’s push to modernise the tax system. Staying compliant means avoiding fines, keeping your records in order, and gaining better visibility over your business finances throughout the year—not just at tax time.
